TECH TOOL: ThinkBinder

WHAT IS THINKBINDER?
ThinkBinder is a website built around the idea of study groups. You can start a study group on their website for free! This can be used in a classroom setting in many different ways. You can use it as a study group to ask questions, discuss, video chat, and share information on homework topics in and out of the classroom. However, it would also be a great resource for group projects. In addition to the chat feature, students can also collaborate on the websites whiteboard and manage their calendar and files on a cloud for easy access and sharing.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
You start by going to the ThinkBinder website and entering a group name. If you do not already have an account, you will be prompted to create one, or log in. Once you enter your group, you can share links, documents, and videos to discuss and collaborate on. Or, you can go into whiteboard mode to draw or work out problems. The whiteboard functions similar to the Paint program, however, others in the group can see what you are drawing/writing live, as it happens. There is also an option to use it in private mode if you do not want to share it with others. Your group will be assigned a code that can be shared with others. Individuals who have the code can join the group without creating an account.
